"In 1686 Michel Boudreaux was a lieutenant general at Port Royal and "juge du lieu" lawyer or law judge. Michelle Aucoin was buried at Port Royal 18 Dec 1706 at over 95 years old. They arrived in Acadia around 1642. Then in 1686 at age of 85 Michel was in Port Royal with Acadians under his jurisdiction. Sons of Michel Boudreaux and Michelle Aucoin settled Pisiquit, Beaubassin, and Grand Pre. By 1766 three families were in Louisiana. Two had settled in the Acadian Coast (St James): Olivier Boudreaux (great grandson of Michel) and the other was Joseph Boudreaux. Another family led by Jean Boudreaux (great grandson of Michel) was living in Attakapas with wife Marguerite Guilbaut and son Jean Charles. ...from Pedigree #5326. Michel Boudrot was born abt 1601, arriving in Acadia before 1639. The 1671 census for Port-royal, he was a laborer and was also a civil and criminal lieutenant general (judge) according to the 1686 census. He married Michelle Aucoin who gave him eleven children. The youngest names Francois was born abt 1666. He married Madeleine Belliveau, d/ o Jean Belliveau and Jeanne Bourque abt 1692. Their sixth son, Pierre, nicknamed Grand Pierre, was born at Port-Royal on June 30, 1712, and became the ancestor of the Boudreau families of southeast New Brunswick. Pierre married twice. First at Port-Royal on January 31, 1735 to Madeleine Melanson d/ o Ambroise Melanson and Francoise Bourque and his second marriage was to Madeleine Belliveau, daughter of Charles Belliveau and Marguerite Granger.
