MARIN BOUCHER


Originally from St-Jean de Mortagne au Perche, Marin Boucher was born between 1587 and 1589. He married twice before embarking for New France. On 7 February 1611, he married Julienne / Jeanne Baril, daughter of Jean Baril, de La Barre, parish of St. Langis, Mortagne.
Julienne / Jeanne died on 15 December 1627, after having given him seven children.

On 15 June 1629, Jeanne Boucher, (sister of Marin), married in St-Jean de Mortagne, Thomas Hayot and became the ancestor of maternal families Hayot. Around the same years, Marin took a second wife, Perrine Malet, born between 1604 and 1606, daughter of Pierre Mallet and Jacqueline Liger from Courgeot in Mortagne au Perche. Gaspard Boucher, (brother of Marin) one of his son which is called STONE. Pierre married 2nd wedding to Jeanne Crevier, he gave to the governor but he became in Spring 1668 "Sieur de Boucherville". The settlers had provided "perch" in New France were typically among the most enterprising. Marin Boucher was among them. Originally from the beautiful town of Mortagne au Perche, he came to settle in Canada in 1634 with his second wife, Périnne Malet and her children. Before his departure in 1633, he sold his house in Mortagne Jean Guyon who also was later emigrate to New France.

When the couple arrived in Quebec on June 4, 1634, Champlain is itself housed in the fort of Quebec. They are accompanied by three children, Jean Gallerani who was 15 months.

In 1635 when Samuel de Champlain died, he bequeathed to his last Marin Boucher habit in these terms: "I give in Marin, a mason, residing in the house Récollets fathers, the last dress that I make the stuff that I took the store. "
