Nyack, NY - Kathleen Slattery Whelan, age 65, of Nyack, died Saturday, November 25, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. Kathleen was born June 7, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of Joseph and Lillian (Carfora) Slattery. .

She was employed by St. Thomas Aquinas College Sparkill, NY

She is survived by her husband: Michael Brian Whelan, two daughters: Aine (Cathal Scanlon) Whelan, Lillian and one son: William; her mother Lillian (Carfora) Slattery; Three sisters: Mary (Larry) Bennett, Joni (Mike) Harten, Antonia (Robert) Sambevski and three brothers: Dennis (Julie) Slattery, Louis Slattery, Joseph (Sherri) Slattery; She also has one grandchild; Granddaughter, Jennifer Scanlon, and many Nieces and Nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00am, November 30 at St. Ann's Church, 16 Jefferson Ave., Nyack, NY. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Congers, NY

Calling hours will be Wednesday, November 29 from 2 to 4 pm & 7 to 9 pm at Joseph W. Sorce F.H. Inc., 728 West Nyack Rd., West Nyack, NY.
