James M. Slattery, 64, of 102 W. Kimberly Drive,Camillus, died Wednesday at Community-General Hospital.

He was born in New York City. He was a 1970 graduate of Syracuse University and a special-education teacher for BOCES for 11 years. He served 11 years in the Air Force and was a Korean War veteran.

Survivors: His wife, Dorothy M.; four sisters, Mary Griffiths of Hillsdale, N.J., Margaret Slattery and Jean Krebs, both of Syracuse , and Betty Goldfarb of Newton, Mass.; two brothers, Joseph of Congers and John of Clayton.

Services: 9:45 a.m. Saturday in Most Holy Rosary Church, Syracuse . Burial, Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours, 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Whelan Bros. Funeral Home, 3700 W. Genesee St., Fairmount.
