Lucy Ellen Spofford
Lucy Ellen Spofford, widow of the late Frank Spofford, died at the home of her son, Edson, at Sabatis early this morning following a long illness.

Mrs. Spofford was born in Monmouth but has lived in Sabatis for over 40 years. She is survived by one sister, Myra Day of Monmouth and one son Edson, of Sabatis, also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services of Mrs. Frank Spofford Held Yesterday
The funeral services of Mrs. Frank Spofford, whose death occurred here Monday, were held from her home here this morning. The services were conducted by Rev. Erwin Dennett of Brooklyn, N. Y. Interment was at Greene cemetery.

Mr and Mrs E. E. Day and son Willard went to Sabattus Wednesday to attend the funeral of Mrs Day's sister, Mrs. Lucy Ellen Spofford. Mrs Spofford was the oldest daughter of the late Elias and Diana (Bailey) Wadsworth of Monmouth. Mrs Day is the only living member of a large family.
