Obituary
Marjorie B. Allison, 88, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Harold Walker Allison, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Kindred Care in Windsor. Born in New York, NY to the late Andrew and Margaret (Van Wagner) Büeter, she was raised in Rhinebeck, NY and has been a Windsor resident for over 58 years. She was a member of the Poquonock Community Church and their Golden Fellowship group, Windsor Junior Women's Club, Poquonock Ladies Auxiliary Fire Company, was active in the Poquonock Elementary School PTO, served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader, and was a member of AARP. Marjorie enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, making beautiful braided rugs, gardening and creating arts and crafts, in her spare time, but her true passion was her family who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey J. Allison and his wife Jeanine of East Hampton, and Scott S. Allison of Windsor; her daughter Linn A. Learned and her husband Edward of Stafford Springs; and her grandchildren, Patricia Mary Allison, Andrew William Allison, Brooke Elizabeth Learned and Ian Edward Learned. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Ann Allison. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, November 21 at Poquonock Community Church, 1817 Poquonock Ave Windsor followed by burial in Elm Grove Cemetery, Windsor. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, November 20 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Carmon Poquonock Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Ave Windsor. Memorial donations may be made in Marjorie's name to the SIDS Network, PO Box 520 Ledyard, CT 06339 or the family is accepting flowers.
