ELLISON. Clarence M. Ellison, 92, departed this life Oct. 15, 1997, he was a resident of Avery Heights for the past four years, having moved from Farmington. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gladys (Larson) Ellison. Mr. Ellison was born In Mansfield In 1905 to Alexander and Ellen (Anderson) Ellison. In 1929 he moved to New Britain, married and worked at Swift & Company, in 1941 he purchased a gas station on Stanely street and ran it until 1956. Mr. Ellison is survived by two beloved sons, Ronald Ellison of Hartford, Bruce Ellison and daughter-in-law, Joan Ellison of Unionville: his beloved daughter, Judith Nelson and son-in-law. Dale Nelson of Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren, Karl Ellison of Ashland, MA, Amy Pappalardo and her husband, David of Farmington, and Rick Nelson and his wife, Sandi Nelson of Woodland Park, CO; and two great granddaughters, Ashlea and Amanda Nelson of Woodland Park, CO; a brother, Ernest Ellison of Wlllimantic: three sisters, Julia Lay of South Windham; Florence Oliver of Windham and Alice Dowley of Southington. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Roland; two sisters, Hilda Chamberlain and Elsie Bourey. A memorial celebration of his life will be Sunday, Oct. 19. 2 p.m.. First Church of Christ, Main and School Streets, Unionville.
