Obituary
DANFORTH, Elizabeth Ann (Pond), passed away on October 12, 2012, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring, FL, with her family by her side. She was the only child of Howard Walton and Anna Beatrice (Crouss) Pond. Elizabeth was born on February 4, 1933, and was raised in Agawam, MA. She graduated from Agawam High School in 1950 with honors in the commercial field. She graduated from Dale Carnegie and taught that course as well. On September 8, 1951, she married Richard Harold Danforth in the Agawam Congregational Church. They moved to Sebring from Fort Myers 17 years ago; Richard passed away in 2002. Elizabeth spent her life working as a secretary and most recently she was employed by the Spring Lake Property Association. She was a member of the Spring Lake United Methodist Church. She loved music and enjoyed playing the organ as a volunteer at the church. She was a longtime member of the East Longmeadow Order of the Eastern Star Corona Chapter in Massachusetts. Elizabeth leaves 3 children, Gary (Beth) Danforth of Springfield, MA, Cecily Roberts of Charlotte, NC, and Anne DeCarufel of Cape Coral, FL; 5 grandchildren, Maple Stolecki of Worcester, MA, Joshua Stolecki of Charlotte, NC, Kelley DeCarufel of Orlando, FL, Ryan DeCarufel of Tallahassee, FL, and Lindsay Danforth of Shorewood, WI; and 2 great grandchildren, Kayla Stolecki and Cain Stolecki. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at 11:30 AM at the Dowden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to the time of the service.
