JASSE, Raymond

Raymond Jasse, 79, of Atkins Street, Middletown, husband of 54 years to Eleanor (Mathewson) Jasse, died at his home on Monday, (August 15, 2011). He was born on February 29, 1932 in New Britain, CT, the son of the late Charles and Anna (Blessing) Jasse. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the City of Middletown's Water Department. He was a member of the Third Congregational Church, a life member of the Westfield Fire Department and a life member of LOOM #1547. Raymond was a long time care taker of West Street Cemetery. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Robert Jasse and his wife Chris of Middletown, his daughter, Susan Wilton and her husband Jonathan of Middletown; his sister, Beverly Schwab of Colchester; four grandchildren, Brenda Zambrello and her husband Anthony, Caitlin Wilton, Rebecca Baranowski, Maureen Cremer and her husband Kent; and a great granddaughter, Reagan Zambrello. He was predeceased by a grandson, Daniel Wiknik; a brother Fred Jasse; and a sister, Arline Rizza.

Funeral services will be held at a later date and burial will be at the convenience of the family in Miner Cemetery.
