Obituary

Ruth Altieri
BOCA RATON, Fla. - Ruth Greiner Altieri died peacefully at Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton, Fla., on Monday, Feb. 24, 2003.

Ruth was born, grew up, married and raised her family in Meriden - she always thought of it as home. Ruth and Mike built their wonderful stone house on Alanby Drive in the 1950s and lived a great New England life together. Ruth worked for many years at the Lane Construction Company until she retired. She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church and had found renewed happiness at her Church in Boca Raton for the 13 years of her Florida life. She was a simple woman who lived and loved well.

She will be mourned and honored by her husband, Michael; and her daughter, Donna Altieri; her grandson, Dexter Thornton; her son-in-law, Michael Thornton; her son, Dan; and a multitude of friends in Boca Raton and back home in Meriden. Rose, Thomas and Eva Altieri, all here in Connecticut, plus Albert Altieri in Los Angeles, Calif., will miss their Ruthie.

Her memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 2 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Boca Raton, Fla., and remembrances of Ruth can be sent to St. Paul, 701 West Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton, Fla. 33486
