COWLES. Mildred A. (Beebe) Cowles, 74, of 72 Hudson St., Manchester, wife of Truman F. Cowles, died Monday (July 5, 1993) at Manchester Memorial Hospital, after being stricken at home. Born in Manchester, August 25, 1918, she was a lifelong resident, and was a member of North United Methodist Church. Besides her husband, Mrs. Cowles is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Kenneth LaCoss of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Francine Cowles of Hebron; two brothers, Kenneth Beebe and George Beebe, both of Manchester; three sisters, Bernice Hagenow of Manchester, Ruth Donnelly of Enfield, and Marilyn Keyes of Hanford, Calif.; six grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Daniel C. Beebe and Elton Beebe. Funeral service will be Thursday, 10 a.m., at Watkins Funeral Home, 142 E. Center St., Manchester. Burial will be in East Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to North United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 300 Parker St., Manchester 06040.
