Obituary
Donald W. Gimlich, 61, of West Lebanon, NY, died yesterday afternoon at Pittsfield General Hospital.
Born in Pittsfield, the son of David J and Mary Barker Wilcox Gimlich, he was a graduate of the Choate School in Wallingford, Conn. He moved to West Lebanon in 1940. For the past 28 years, Mr. Gimlich was employed by the General Electric Co., as a supervisor in the distribution transformer department. He was a member of the Church of Our Savior, Episcopal, of Lebanon Springs, N.Y., and the GE Quater Century Club. He was a member of the family which conducted the Gimlich & White Brewery here at on time.
Besides his wife, the former Mildred Whitegiver, he leaves three sisters, Mrs. John Nicholson, Mrs. Marjorie Lawler and Mrs. Marion G. Roberts, all of Pittsfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Wellington Funeral Home this evening from 7 to 9. The family requests the omission of flowers. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Heart Association.
Services will be tomorrow afternoon at 2 at the funeral home. The Rev. George G. Greenway, rector of the Church of Our Savior, Episcopal, will officiate. Burial will be in the Cemetery of the Evergreens, New Lebanon, N.Y.
