"Willard C. Crouss, 77, of 231 Mill St., Agawam, died Friday morning at his home. He was born in Pittsfield Oct 28, 1871, the son of George and Augusta (Vogel) Crouss and had lived in Agawam for the past 68 years. Mr. Crouss was a member of Agawam Congregational Church. He was formerly a director of the West Springfield Trust Co., having been appointed at the time the bank was organized. He leaves his wife , Edith (Blaisdell) Crouss; two daughters, Mrs. Wendell Gosse and Mrs. Howard W. Pond of Agawam; three grandchildren; a brother, Charles T. Crouss of Agawam; a sister, Mrs. George Edwards of Pittsfield and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at the Dickinson-Streeter parlors, Monday afternoon at 2, with an organ prelude at 1:30. Rev. Dr. Fred G. Bratton, pastor of Agawam Congregational Church, will officiate and burial will be in Center Cemetery, Agawam."

"The funeral of Willard C. Crouss, 77, 231 Mill St., Agawam was held at the parlors of Dickinson-Streeter Co., Monday afternoon with an organ prelude by Robert W. Field. Rev. Dr. Fred G. Bratton, pastor of Agawam Congregational Church officiated. Interment was in Center Cemetery, Agawam. Bearers were Herman Crouss, Edward Crouss, Theodore Crouss, George Crouss, Ralph Thompson and David Cesan."
