Obituary Information
Webster — WEBSTER - Robert Walsh Moore, age 92, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, September 15, 2012. Born on August 8, 1920, he was the son of the late Mary (Walsh) and L. Jerome Moore, and he lived most of his life in Webster, MA. He graduated from Saint Louis High School in 1937. Early in his life he was a route salesman for Empire Laundry, and he later worked as an agent for the John Hancock Insurance Company for many years. He was a member of the Greatest Generation, having served in the Army during World War II. Robert was a founding member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society in Webster, and he was a lifelong member of Saint Louis Parish.
Robert is survived by his son Garrett, along with his wife Bonnie, and their three sons, Timothy, Bradford, and Gregory; his son James and his wife Mary, and their children, Jamie, Jennifer and Rebecca; his daughter and primary care provider, Melissa Morneau, and her children, Rachel Jalbert and Eric; his daughter Kristina Moore Fleming, and her children, Ian, Robert, and Krista; and his youngest son, Jonathan. He also leaves seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife and soul-mate of sixty-seven years, Mary (Johnson), and his son Robert, who is survived by his daughter Sara Hart. He was also predeceased by his son-in-law, Clarence Morneau. His siblings, Edward, Alice and Donald died many years ago.
Patriot and star gazer, bird watcher, lover of music and nature, woodworker, story teller and procrastinator, he will be deeply missed by a family that loved him very much.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 29, 10 AM, at Saint Louis Church on Lake Street in Webster. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Saint Louis Endowment Fund, 15 Lake Street, Webster, MA 01570.
Sansoucy Funeral Home in Southbridge is coordinating arrangements.
