"THOMPSON, CT George N. Gaboury, 94, of 124 Corttis Rd., North Grosvenordale, died August 24 in Leominster. His wife, Cleytris M. (Walsh) Gaboury, died in 1995."

"He leaves two step-daughters, Marjorie Mingolla of Auburn and Joan Albano of California; a sister, Irene Renaud of Cape Cod; many nephews and nieces, including his caregiver, Mark E. Barrette of Webster, who was like a son to him."

"He was born in Worcester and raised in Webster, a son of Paul and Delia (Dion) Gaboury."

"He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and was a Japanese prisoner of war. He also served for 26 years in the Navy, retiring as a warrant officer."

"Mr. Gaboury was a self-employed carpenter for many years before retiring in 1965. He was a member of Saint Louis Church in Webster, the North Grosvenordale American Legion Post #67 and the Quinebaug Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10088."

"A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 10, at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake St., Webster. Burial, with full military honors, will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Webster. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main St., Webster, is directing arrangements."
