BURLINGTON- Funeral services will be held here on
Friday morning, Jan 3 for Robert F. Thurston, a former resident of the town who passed away at Spring Hill, Florida on Dec. 27. The husband of *LIVING (LeClerc) Thurston, he was 76 years of age.

Mr. Thurston, who lived in Burlington for thirty-five years before moving to Florida seven years ago, passed away at the Evergreen Healthcare Center in Spring Hill, Florida.

He was born in Somerville, the son of the late William and Annette (Patton) Thurston.

Raised in Medford, he was a graduate of Medford High School.

Mr. Thurston enjoyed photography and video, an interest which had him photographing and filming many family and friends' weddings and other special occasions.

He was a retired service mechanic in the vending industry after working for some years with the GraBen Vending Company.

He also worked for several other firms over the years, as well as on his own servicing vending machines.

Active in the Elks Lodge, he was also a member of the F.O.E. Aerie Lodge and the Loyal Order of Moose, all in Florida.

Surviving with his wife *LIVING are two daughters, *LIVING Nathan of Lowell and *LIVING Tabor of Tewksbury, a sister *LIVING Gebauer of Newark, New Jersey, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The funeral will be held from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Friday, Jan 3 at 8 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret's Church at 9 a.m. Interment will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.

Visiting hours at the funeral home will be on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
