"DUDLEY -- Ruth B. (Roberts) Feige, 78, of 13 Mason Road, a retired postal clerk, died Friday, Dec. 8, in UMass Memorial Medical Center - - Memorial Campus, Worcester, after an illness.
Her husband of 36 years, George W. Feige Sr., died in 1982. She leaves a son, George W. "Skip" Feige Jr. of Thompson; two daughters, Linda R. Dubois of Dudley and Dorothy L. Ceminski of Webster; two sisters, Virginia H. Pepin of Fabyan section of Thompson and Delia Pepin of Jewett City, Conn.; six grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A sister, Dorothy Roberts of Fabyan, predeceased her. She was born in Putnam, daughter of Raymond and Florence (Morse) Roberts, and lived 26 years in Fabyan before moving to Dudley in 1948. She graduated from Tourtelotte Memorial High School, North Grosvenordale section of Thompson, in 1936.
Mrs. Feige was a postal clerk 20 years, first at the Fabian Post Office and then at the North Grosvenordale Post Office, retiring in 1984. She previously was a secretary eight years at American Optical Co., Southbridge, and then a keypunch operator at Greeting Card Co., Webster.
She was a member of Church of the Reconciliation, Webster, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and Friends of the Pearle L. Crawford Memorial Library. She played in the TSKK Women's Pitch League, Webster, for 20 years. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, in Church of the Reconciliation, 5 North Main St., Webster. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, in Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster. Flowers may be sent, or memorial donations made to Pearle L. Crawford Memorial Library, 1 Village St., Dudley, MA 01571; or to Church of Reconciliation, Restoration Fund, 5 North Main St., Webster, MA 01570."
