"OXFORD -- Barbara A. (Gaboury) Barrette, 69, of Quobaug Avenue, died Monday, March 4, in Hubbard Regional Hospital, Webster, after a illness."

"Her husband of 40 years, William Barrette, died in 1995. She leaves a daughter, Deborah M. Newton of Dudley; five sons, Jeffrey W. Barrette of Charlton, Michael A. and Mark E. Barrette, both of Webster, Matthew A. Barrette of Oxford and Peter J. Barrette of Warwick, R.I.; her stepfather, George N. Gaboury of the North Grosvenordale section of Thompson; her stepmother, Leda (Robillard) Gaboury of Auburn; two sisters, Marjorie Mingolla and Joan Albano, both of Auburn; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A brother, Alfred A. Gaboury Jr. of Worcester, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Alfred A. and Cleytris (Walsh) Gaboury, and lived in Worcester, Texas, Montana, and Maine before moving to Oxford in 1973."

"Mrs. Barrette enjoyed bingo."

"The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 8, in Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford (www.paradisfuneralhome.com). Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701."
