Corriveau, Glenn Michael June 27, 1955-April 27, 2020 Glenn was born in Southbridge, MA. and died from COVID-19, a resident in a long-term care facility, Hopkins Health Services, Hopkins MN. Glenn suffered a spinal cord injury in a motorcycle accident in September 2013. The accident left him a quadriplegic needing assistance with all aspects of daily living. Glenn leaves his loving daughter and fierce advocate, Molly Jeanne Heidt and son-in-law Jamie Heidt of Minnetonka MN. His is ex-wife of 29 years, Lynn Ungerer-Corriveau resides in Palm Harbor, FL. He leaves 2 sisters Dolli Szumilas and her husband Mike Szumilas of (CO) and Deb Dion of (MA), and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Glenn Corriveau who died by suicide on 10/ 11/ 2007 after a long battle with addiction and mental health issues, he was 24 years old. Also, his parents Albert and Jeanne Corriveau of Southbridge, MA. Glenn was a life-long athlete. As a youngster in Southbridge, MA. He played Pop Warner football. He continued playing football for Southbridge HS a Championship team, at that time. Glenn continued team sports with baseball and basketball through work and local Community teams. As an individual he would run 3-5 miles regularly during the week. Very often you could find him on his bike IF he wasn't mowing the lawn, painting the house, planting trees, chopping wood, snow blowing, or working on one of the cars. Later in life he found a passion for yoga at Core Power Yoga, Edina MN and attended classes regularly. Often, weather permitting, on early weekend mornings, he would take long rides on his Harley Davidson. If you had the pleasure of knowing Glenn you will remember his infectious smile, sense of humor, work ethic, and his remarkable ability to fix just about anything. Glenn attended East Coast Aero Tech LLC. and as a Licensed Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic, he began his career contracted with Bell Helicopter in Isfahan Province, Iran. Back in the USA he accepted a position with Davis-Monthan Air Force base, home of the largest aircraft boneyard in the world in Tucson, AZ. Throughout his career he was employed by major airlines including Eastern Airlines, Miami FL.; Northwest and Delta Airlines, Minneapolis MN. At this time due to the ongoing risk of Covid-19 we have postponed any memorial service until summer 2020.
