Obituary
WEBSTER - Leona A. (Noga) Gevry, 58, of 23 Mechanic St., a onetime store bakery worker, was pronounced dead on arrival yesterday at Hubbard Regional Hospital after she was stricken ill at home.
She leaves her husband, Lawrence L. Gevry; five sons, Leonard S. Gevry of Webster, Louis J. Gevry of Dudley, Lawrence L. Gevry of Southbridge, Lloyd R. Gevry of Killingly and Lawrence L. Gevry Jr. of Higganum, Conn.; three brothers, Raymond, Valmore and Edmond Noga, all of Webster; two sisters, Wanda Lawless and Benita Mooney, both of Cumberland, R.I.; 10 grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Webster, daughter of Stanley and Stella (Augustynski) Noga, and lived here all her life. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1955.
Mrs. Gevry worked in the bakery at Dudley Park & Shop for several years. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
The funeral will be tomorrow from Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 18 East Main St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Anniversary Fund, 18 East Main St., Webster, 01570.
