Obituary
Glenna H. Rollison, 78, a lifelong resident of South Canaan, died Friday morning at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart, after an illness.
Her husband of over fifty years was Gene Rollison, who died in 2004.
Born in South Canaan on January 12, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Susie Lamberton Swingle. A homemaker, she was engaged in farming with her husband and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. One of her favorite past-times was playing bingo. She is survived by three daughters, Debbie Merritt, Lake Ariel; Brenda Lanza, South Canaan; and Bonnie Smith, Jermyn; a sister, Marge Bianchi, South Canaan; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, an uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Randy and Dale; and a daughter, Kim Rollison; five brothers, Tracy, Nate, Pete, Grant, and Bud Swingle, and four sisters, Alberta Horst, Lois Gustock, Maggie King, and Beverly Swingle.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Jenkins Funeral Home, 269 Belmont St., Waymart, conducted by the Rev. William Rushik, pastor of the South Canaan Free Methodist Church. Interment: East Canaan Cemetery.
