SOUTHBRIDGE— William A. Baker, 80, of 45 Guelphwood Rd., died Monday, Sept. 22nd, in his home after a brief illness.

His wife, Wilma R. (Lindsey) Baker, died in 1993. He leaves two daughters: Sherry Bowren of Southbridge and Shelly Power and her husband Martin of Houston, TX; four grandchildren: Robert Bowren, Karen Cotton and her husband Scott, Tracy Pollone and her husband Richard and Rozlind Power; five grandchildren: Zachary Pollone, Nathan Pollone, Andrew Cotton, Cory Cotton and Dylan Cotton; and cousins. He was born in Worcester, the son of William A. and Beatrice E. (LeBoeuf) Baker. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II.

Bill was a salesman for Family Record Plan and also worked as a photographer for Perry Studios, retiring many years ago. After retiring, he worked part-time for the hearing aid company located in the Elm Street Medical Center in Southbridge and also worked part-time for Bob’s Auto Sales. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Southbridge and a member of the Leonide J. Lemire post 6055 of the VFW in Southbridge. He was an avid pool player. Bill enjoyed frequenting his favorite place the Elm Center Coffee Shop.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 26th in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
