EILEEN BLISS

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. - Eileen Bliss, 81, passed peacefully at home in Scottsdale, Ariz., on June 11, 2001, after a brief battle with leukemia.

Her memorial service was held Friday, June 15, 2001, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Phoenix.

Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and may be sent to Bonnie Elder, 5733 E. Estrid, Scottsdale, Ariz., 85254.

Eileen was born March 22, 1920, in Canton, Minn. She graduated from the Minnesota School of Business and had a 35-year career with the United States Soil Conservation Service, serving several northern Iowa counties. After her retirement in 1979, she spent many happy summers in her Mason City home and sunny winters in Arizona. While living in Arizona, she met her husband, Joe, and tied the knot in Mason City on Oct. 30, 1993. She enjoyed country-western dancing, cooking, flowers and her beloved pets.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Kopa, and her daughter, Bonnie Elder, of Scottsdale, Ariz. Other family members include her brothers, Marv (Vi) Randall, of Carlsbad, Calif., Robert (Billie) Randall, of Minnetonka, Minn., sister, Doris Olson, of Edina, Minn., and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Minnie Rosenthal, of Harmony, Minn.
