Obituary

Ida Galbraith, 81, Lyman, widow of J. Herbert Galbraith, died in Burley, Idaho Monday, Feb. 5, 1973 of natural causes.

She was born Dec. 24, 1891, at Salem, Idaho, the daughter of John Robert Barber and Emily Anderson Barber.

She married J. Herbert Galbraith, Sep. 9, 1913, at St. Anthony, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple. She was a member of the LDS Church, had been a Relief Society visiting teacher, Primary teacher, and attended school at Salem and Rexburg.

Mrs. Galbraith is survived by the following sons and daughters: LeRoy Galbraith of Tacoma, Washington, Dorald Galbraith, LaRue Trittipo, and Mae Geisler all of Burley; Della Merrill of Annis, Clinton Galbraith of Lyman, and Garold Galbraith of Payson, Utah; one brother and three sisters, Joseph Barber of Rexburg, Mrs. Amelia Sharp of Idaho Falls, Mrs. Ellen Woolf of Seattle, Washington and Mrs. Eva Kohl of Oregon; 33 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Lyman LDS ward chapel, with Bishop Harold. S. Butler officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel and Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery under Eckersell’s direction.
