DECEASED NAME: ERDMAN P. SCHWARZE
Erdman P. "Paul" Schwarze, a resident of Newtown, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009, at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 82.
He was the husband of Louise Laube Schwarze, to whom he was married for 58 years.
Born in Pawtucket, R.I., he was the son of the late Paul M. and Rosalie Theinert Schwarze.
Paul was a U.S. Marine veteran, serving during World War II.
He had a successful career in the textile industry, working initially for an industrial needle equipment manufacturer and later for fiber and yarn producers. He was a master mason and an active member for 55 years.
Paul was an avid golfer and always had a good joke or story to share with his colleagues and friends.
In addition to his wife, Paul is also survived by his son, Charles Schwarze and his wife, Leslie, of the San Francisco Bay area; and two granddaughters, Lauren and Lindsey Schwarze.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in Paul's life celebration from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Swartz/ Givnish Funeral Home, Washington and Lincoln avenues, Newtown, where his memorial service will be at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions sent in Paul's name to the Parkinson's Disease Disorder Center, 330 S. 9th St., Philadelphia, PA 19107, would be appreciated by his family.
