Howard L. Thompson

"Howard L. Thompson of 500 North St., Feeding Hills, died Friday at Springfield Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Bayonne, N. J., March 11, 1896, son of the late Ward L. and Alvina (Crouss) Thompson and lived in Feeding Hills for more than 40 years. He was employed as a linotype operator in Pittsfield having retired in January. He was a member of Mt. Orthodox Lodge of Masons of West Springfield. He leaves his wife, Lillian (Worthington) Thompson; a daughter, Mrs. Elaine Hoisve and a grandson of Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers, Bertrand H. Thompson of Winchester and Ralph S. of Sebastian, Fla., and a sister, Mrs. Lois Oatman of West Springfield. The funeral will be held at the Curran-Jones funeral home Sunday at 4 p. m. Rev. Charles G. King, pastor of Mittineague Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will be in Agawam Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 10 p. m."
