Deceased Name: Leslie N. Crouss
Leslie N. Crouss, 82, of Suffield, formerly of Agawam, Mass., beloved husband for 57 years to Claire (Spaulding) Crouss, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, in Suffield.
Born in Agawam, Mass., son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Fisher) Crouss. He had lived in Agawam and Suffield most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and before retiring owned and operated Leslie Crouss Construction Company for 15 years. He was a member of the Agawam First Baptist Church and was church custodian and a member of the Massachusetts National Guard and a member of the Agawam VFW, the Agawam Sportsman Club, and Westside Fish and Game Club.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, L. Nelson Crouss Jr. of Richfield Springs, N.Y. three daughters, Sharon and her husband, Douglas Grabowski, of Old Saybrook and Georgia, Janice L. Lock of Orlando, Fla., Marcia and her husband, Joseph MacArdle, of Suffield 12 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by five brothers, Herman, Roland, Edward, Robert, and Raymond Crouss.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 26, at 11 a.m. at the Agawam First Baptist Church, Agawam, Mass. with the Rev. Thomas Rice and the Rev. Donald Morris officiating.
His family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East Street, Suffield.
