STEPULKOSKI, Edward - Of Mt. Morris Township, age 80, died Saturday, August 2, 2003 at his residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 500 West Pierson Road in Flint, Father James F. Eisele officiating. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Guild of St. Agnes Parish, 500 West Pierson Road, Flint, MI 48505. Visitation 6-9PM Monday and 1-3 and 5-9PM Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A rosary will be prayed at 6PM Tuesday followed by a memorial service conducted by the PLAV Post #8 Auxiliary at the funeral home. Edward will be at the church from 9AM until the time of the Mass on Wednesday. He was born in Flint, Michigan on March 8, 1923, the son of Adam Stepulkoski and Anna (Obuch) (Stepulkoski) Gala and was a lifelong resident of Genesee County. He married Lucille Therese Tremblay on September 28, 1946 in Flint. Edward served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II stationed in the Aleutian Islands. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church for 53 years, Master Gardener's Association and the P.L.A.V. (Polish League of American Veterans). He was founder of St. Joseph's Guild, which celebrated it's 25th Anniversary this past spring and has expanded to numerous parishes throughout the Dioceses of Lansing and Michigan with branches in states as far away as Arizona. Edward was employed by Buick Motor Division, as a test driver, for 31 years, retiring in 1973 and was a proud member and representative of UAW Local #599. He is survived by his children, Marianne (William) Schelgelmilch of Palmer, Alaska, Janet Stepulkoski of Flushing, George (Janet Redford) Stepulkoski of Corunna, Margaret Bourcier and James Stepulkoski, both of Montrose and Edward J. Stepulkoski of Mt. Morris Township grandchildren, Tracie Lynn Stepulkoski of Orlando, Florida, Jamie Bourcier and fiance' David Raffone of Chesterfield, Virginia, Rebecca Bourcier of Montrose and fiance' Spencer Bodzik of Saginaw brothers, John (Marilyn) Gala of Washington State and Chet Gala of Santa Barbara, California sister, Agnes (Jake) Dresbach of Genesee Township many nieces and nephews, dear daughter-in-law, Linda Stepulkoski and several dear and special friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Lucille, in 1999 parents, brother, Vincent Stepulkoski sisters, Cecelia and Veronica Stepulkoski, Stella Tucker, Jenny (Michael) Mandrick and Helen (John) Jedynek. The family wishes to extend a special thank you for the loving care and support given to their father by his many, many special friends during the past year.
