Obituary

Mary A. (Randall-Bates) Grandi of Plymouth, age 84, died in her home in Plymouth on Friday Oct. 15, 2010. The beloved mother of George A. Bates and his wife Renate of Mont Vernon NH, David A. Grandi and his wife Kelli of Plymouth, Blair J. Grandi of Hilo HI, Cynthia A. Adams and her husband Glen of Middleboro, Joanne MacKinnon of Plymouth, Dorothy E. Ryder of Raynham, and the late James W. Bates. She is also survived by her brothers Allen E. Randall, and David L. Randall, as well as 12 grandchildren, and 12 great- grandchildren. Born May 12, 1926 in Whitman MA, daughter of the late Rozwell and Alverda (Williams) Randall. Mary loved bingo, knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, and was a member of the 2nd Church of Plymouth Womens Guild. Cremation will take place at the Vine Hills Crematory in Plymouth. A memorial service will be held at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Marys memory may be made to the American Cancer Society , 1115 West Chestnut St. Suite 301, Brockton MA 02301, or to the American Diabetes Association , 330 Congress St 5th Floor, Boston MA 02210.
