Rita M. (Liberty) Strom

WORCESTER - Rita M. (Liberty) Strom, 85, of Worcester, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

She leaves her husband of fifty-edith years, Donald A. Strom, two sons, Carl G. and his wife Laura M. Strom of Millbury, and Donald J. Strom of Worcester, and three grandchildren, Heather M. Strom of Worcester, Daniel P. and his wife Sarah Strom of Leicester, and Jennifer M. Strom of Spencer.

Mrs. Strom was born in Salem, N.H., daughter of Pamelia and Joseph Liberty. She was educated in New Hampshire schools.

She was an accomplished crocheter and enjoyed playing bingo. Most important of all, she was devoted to her family.

Calling hours are Friday, March 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Athny Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral will be Saturday, March 29 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
