Dorothy E. (Ashey) Brouillard, 94, of Coventry passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Kent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Brouillard. She was born in Cranston, R.I. on May 1, 1924, a daughter of the late Jean Baptiste and Elizabeth (Lyons) Ashey.
Dorothy was employed as a threader at the former Ronnie's Lace Mill in Coventry and later as a C.N.A. at the Rhode Island Medical Center in Cranston for many years. She was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Club Jogues in Coventry and was also a member of the Coventry Senior Citizens Center.
She leaves a son, John R. Brouillard of Coventry; a daughter, Janet Fruscella of Coventry; a brother, John Ashey of Coventry; and three grandchildren, Michelle Nerbonne, Jason Brouillard, and Michael Audette. She was the mother of the late Romeo Brouillard and the sister of the late Theresa Ozel, Gerard Ashey, and Mary Munslow.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 8 am from the Potvin-Quinn Funeral Home, 45 Curson Street, West Warwick with a 9 am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6 St. Vincent de Paul Street, Coventry. Interment will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours are Friday 5-8 pm.
