Edward R. Stamerra Sr.

Of East McKeesport, formerly of Braddock, on Wednesday March 29, 2017 two days before his 91st birthday passed away peacefully with his family at his side.

Loving father of Robert (Susan), Elaine (Dave) DiGiacomo, Judy (Tony) Shuckhart, Tony, Gina (Marty) Kmetz, Eddie (Tammy), Joseph (Susan), Louis Sr., Michael (Erin), and Rick Stamerra.

Grandfather of Jesse, Jordan, Candice, Cody, Daisy, Dustin, Nicholas, Katie, Dominic, Nicole, Daniel, Ricky Jr., Louis Jr., Jessica, Tyler, Richard, Elizabeth, Elena, Santino, Vincent, Peter, Salvatore, Julia, Raffaella, and Francesca.

Great-Grandfather of Andrew, Pete, and Selina. Preceded in death by brothers Louis and Salvatore Stamerra and sisters Nancy Santarcangelo and Joann Siano. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Ed worked 47 years at The US Postal Service and last served as a Postmaster of the Braddock Post Office. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII, an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, and a huge UConn Women's Basketball fan.

Mass of Christian Burial on Monday 10AM in Sacred Heart Church Brinton Road Braddock Hills of the Good Shepherd Parish. Interment with military honors in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
