Edgar C. Feige

"Shelburne Falls, Edgar C. Feige, 81, died Wednesday evening at his home, 37 Clement St. He was born in Pittsfield, Sept. 7, 1880, the son of Charles and Grace (Begard) Feige. He had resided in Shelburne Falls for 58 years. He attended Drury High in North Adams and as a young man was active in athletics, participating in baseball, football, basketball and wrestling. He married the former Katherine Pfersick in the Shelburne Falls Congregational parsonage, May 6, 1903. They observed their 58th wedding anniversary last year. Until retirement a few years ago he was a painter and interior decorator. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Edward of West Springfield and Howard at home; one sister, Mrs. Jessica Slade of Stafford, Vt.; one brother, George C. Feige of Nashua, N. H.; one half brother, Milton Barnes of Milford; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 at Johnson funeral home with Rev. Louis F. Kirlin, Trinity Fellowship pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Arms Cemetery. There are no visiting hours."
