Putnam, CT – Theresa (Dery) Lachapelle, 87, formerly of North Grosvenordale, died Monday, February 12, 2007 at Matulaitis Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Raymond R. Lachapelle. Born in North Grosvenordale, she was the daughter of the late Henri and Leona (Brodeur) Lachapelle.

Mrs. Lachapelle worked as an inspector for American Optical for over 25 years. She also worked for Cluett Peabody & Co. She always was one to put others first.

Theresa is survived by her daughter Lorna Lachapelle of Putnam; a brother Maurice Dery of North Grosvenordale; two grandchildren Dr. Kathleen Marshall and Christopher Dunn and two great-grandchildren George Marshall and Cassandra Marshall.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Theresa’s family at 9:00 AM, Friday, February 23, 2007 in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Joseph Church, 20 Main St., N. Grosvenordale. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Matulaitis Nursing Home, 10 Thurber Road, Putnam, CT 06260.
