THOMPSON - Richard S. Feige, 77, of 14 Buckley Hill Road, North Grosvenordale, died yesterday in Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam, after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 55 years, Stella E. (Wojick) Feige; two sons, Richard W. Feige of North Grosvenordale and Robert F. Feige of Wellesley; a daughter, Janice E. Dahl of North Grosvenordale; a sister, Anna Lachapelle of Milford, N.H.; and three grandchildren. He was born in Worcester, son of Willard and Anna (Korch) Feige, and lived in Thompson most of his life.

He was a supervisor in the machine shop at Colt's Plastics Co., Dayville, for 16 years, retiring in 1983. Previously, he worked for Stevens Linen Co., Dudley, for 13 years and Cluett, Peabody Co., North Grosvenordale, until the mill closed in 1954.

He attended St. Joseph's Church and was a volunteer in the parish's annual "Spring Fling."

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, in St. Joseph Church, 18 Main St., North Grosvenordale. After cremation, burial will be in the parish cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, 18 Main St., or the Community Fire Company Ambulance Fund, both North Grosvenordale, Conn. 06255, or to the Hospice of Northeast Connecticut, 57 Pomfret St., Putnam 06260. Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., North Grosvenordale, is directing arrangements.
