John MOULTON
Biography

"John Moulton, b. at Ormsby, Norfolk county England, about 1599; was examined before leaving, England in the spring of 1637, with his wife, Anne, and five children, viz., Henry, Mary, Anne, Jane, and Bridgett ; was a while at Newbury ; settled at Winnacunnett, 1638; admitted freeman, May 22, 1639; chosen the first deputy to the General Court the next September, and died between Jan. 23, 1649, the estate of his will, and Oct. 1, 1650, when it was proved. His wife Anne d. Apr. 12, 1668, set. 68 y. Their children were,

Henry, b. about 1623, m. Sobriety Hilton, settled on the third lot east of his father's, had six children, and d. Sept. 8, 1701, set. 78 y.

Mary, b. about 162-, m. William Sanborn, of Hampton, and had six children.

Anne, b. in England, probably unmarried when her father made his will.

Jane, (Twins, b. in England about 1634),
Bridgett, both d. unmarried, Mar. 19, 1699,
aet. 65 y., one of them dying a few hours after the other, according to a letter of Cotton Mather.

John, baptized at Newbury, Mar. 1638 (or 1639), m. Lydia Taylor, and d. in 1705, set. about 67 y., according to record of David Moulton.

Ruth, baptized at Hampton, Mar. 7, 1641, m. Apr. 3, 1660, Peter Johnson, who was drowned in Hampton River, Nov. 16, 1674. She had four children, and d. Sept. 7, 1718, set. 77 y. "
