2010 - Husband's Obituary

Southbridge...Leon G. Morin, age 92, formerly of Westwood Parkway, died Tuesday at Radius Healthcare Center of Southbridge.. His wife of 65 1/ 2yrs.was the late Irene I. (Renaud) Morin who died March 24, 2006. He is survived by 2 children Constance Trombley of Rochdale, and Robert Morin and his wife Joan of Brookfield, and grandchildren Paul Trombley and his wife Susan of Webster, Pamela Santilli and her husband Anthony of Southbridge, and 2 step-grandchildren Mathieu and Megan Passarelli, a step great-granddaughter Izzabella, 4 great-grandchildren Tiffany, Timothy, Joshua, Jordan, and a step-great-grandchild Jessica, many nieces and nephews. He also was predeceased by a son Bruce Morin (1983) a daughter Suzanne Morin (2009), and siblings Pete, Joe, Armand, Blanche, Alma, Rose, Lea, and Theresa.
He was born in Southbridge, son of Philias and Mary Louise (Blanchette) Morin and lived here all his life. He was a member of Notre Dame Church. In the 1950's he started his own business City Painting Contractor, where he painted many three-deckers, single family homes, churches and church steeples. He also sponsored a bowling league, he loved horses, woodworking, and hunting. He was an avid Patriots fan, and had a passion for walking, biking, and weight lifting. He was also an avid golfer and won many golfing awards.

The family is grateful to the staff of Radius Healthcare Center for the wonderful care given to their father.

The funeral will be Thursday, Sept. 9th, from Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy St. Southbridge with a Mass at 10AM at Notre Dame Church 446 Main St. Southbridge. Burial will follow at St. George Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 6-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society P.O.Box 4072 Pittsfield, MA 01202
