1815 - a mortgage abstract from 1815 naming Cummings Salisbury as an adjoining landowner in Greenfield, Saratoga County.

The abstract (bottom right, p. 192):

"An Abstract Of a mortgage dated the twenty-fifth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen. From Samuel Van Tassel and Fanny his wife of the town of Greenfield, County of Saratoga and State of New York, of the first part, To Elias N. Day of the town, county and state aforesaid, of the second part. For all that certain piece or parcel of land, lying and being in the town of Greenfield aforesaid, it being part of Lot No. 3 of Lot No. 21 of Great Lot No. 3, of the twenty-second allotment of the patent of Kayaderosseras. Bounded as follows: Beginning at the south-west corner at a stake and stones, and runs north fifty-six degrees east on the line between said lot and land owned by Cummings Salisbury, fifteen chains seventy-five links to Jacob Dorr's line, thence southeasterly along the highway, thence north eighteen degrees west two chains to a stake and stone, thence south eighty-six degrees west eight chains twenty-five links to a hemlock tree standing on the west line of said lot, thence south eighteen degrees east six chains seventy-five links to the place of beginning. Containing four acres and three-fourths of an acre of land. Conditioned that if the said Samuel Van Tassel and Fanny his wife, their heirs, executors, administrators, do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said party of the second part... the sum of Three Hundred Dollars, to be paid in three annual payments..."

New name for your associates-neighbors list: Samuel & Fanny Van Tassel, and Jacob Dorr (also spelled Dorr's line) — worth keeping in mind, since Dutch surnames like Van Tassel and Dorr sometimes intermarried with families in this area, and could turn up again in later Salisbury-adjacent deeds.
