Mrs Richford Dies On Way To Visit Sick Son
Overcome by Gale and Dies in House While Seeking Shelter
Mrs. Josephine M. Richford, wife of Ambrose Richard, was overcome by the gale while walking down Heard street yesterday to visit a son who is ill in City Hospital, and died in the house at 32 Heard street, which she entered to rest. She died about 15 minutes after reaching shelter. Mrs. Richford lived with her family at 4 Lanark street. She had been a sufferer of hear trouble for some time. She was aged 63 years and 5 months, and a native of Canada, but had passed about 40 years of her life in this city. She leaves eight sons, Ambrose, Jr., Edward A., Edmond, Philip, Moses, George and William J. Richford, and Joseph Gagnon of Mansfield; also a daughter, Miss Josephine Richford, and 14 grandchildren.
The funeral will be from the home, 4 Lanark street, tomorrow morning, with a mass of requiem in Holy Name of Jesus church at 9 o'clock, and will be attended by the Ladies' Chartitable society of the parish, of which she was an active member.
