Rites are Saturday

Milk, Poultry Dealer Dead in Southbridge

SOUTHBRIDGE - Romeo E. Lippe, 51, of 1107 Dennison Drive, widely known milk and poultry dealer and proprietor of the Lippe Dairy Spa on Dennison Drive, died this morning in his home, after a long illness.

Born in Worcester, he was son of Anthime and Laura (Lareau) Lippe.

He was one of the founders of Southbridge Co-Operative Milk Dealers Assn. and a member of the Farm Bureau, Farmers Poultry Assn., Southbridge Grange, and the Firemen's Field Day Assn.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Berthe (Malo) Lippe, his mother in Fitchburg, two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Svedberg of Sutton and Miss Janet Lippe of town, a brother, Armand Lippe of there; three half-brothers, Raymond of Worcester, Robert and Norman of Alameda, Calif.; a half-sister, Mrs. Rita Bombard of Alameda, and one grandchild.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home at 9:16 a.m. with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame Church. Burial will be in New Notre Dame Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home are 7 to 10 tonight and 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. tomorrow.
