Edmond LIPPE
1905 - That Yarn is Denied. Son of Edmond Lippe Refutes Fiskdale Story.
SOUTHBRIDGE, Dec. 8. - Edmond Lippe, who had a paralytic shock at Fiskdale, Wednesday, is at his home in Southbridge, in much the same condition as when brought home by his son, yesterday morning. Dr. Joseph A. Genereau is in attendance, and says the heart action is perhaps a little better, but otherwise his condition remains unchanged.
On account of the condition of the afflicted man, he is unable to receive calls, but his son, Anthime Lippe, wished to be quoted as saying "There is not a word of truth in the story told by someone in Fiskdale. I am not going to marry anyone is any way that would require to be talked over, as it was said a woman claimed she was talking with my father in the woods near Fiskdale. As the doctor told me, in Fiskdale, it was altogether different. He did not meet any woman in the woods up there to talk about my marriage to anybody. If he met anybody, it was not in the woods, and I want you to say that it is not so.
"I was sent for to go up there and get my father, and went to Dr. Robinson's and brough him home, and the doctor told me about it. The story that they told in Fiskdale looks bad for me and the family and I want to say that I am not going to marry anybody whose mother would hae to go out in the woods at night to talk it over with my father. I want to deny the whole story."
