Frederick F. King, 73

Westborough - Frederick "Freddie" Fay King, 73, passed peacefully at home April 27, 2015 with his loving family. He is survived by his six siblings; Priscilla Malo of Seattle, WA, Richard E. King Jr. and his wife Elaine of North Grafton, Beverly Johnson and her husband Ron of Shrewsbury, Barbara Barnes of Westborough with whom he lived, Muriel Ayres of Center Conway, NH and Sandy Bianco and her husband Rick of Grafton; also 17 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews.

Freddie was born July 21, 1941 in Worcester, the son of the late Richard E. King Sr. and Dorothy (Bodge) King and lived 61 years in North Grafton before moving to Westborough with his sister Barbara 12 years ago. He was educated in Grafton schools and then worked for 20 years at New England Canteen in North Grafton. Fred battled Pulmonary Sarcoidosis all his life, but he never let it keep him from doing the things in life he enjoyed. He participated for many years with friends at the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center in Hopkinton. Fred had a passion for music and was an excellent singer and enjoyed guitar music. He also loved going to softball games at Hubbard Field near his home in North Grafton and he was a devoted Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots fan. Anyone who had the joy of knowing Freddie will have memories to cherish throughout their lives. His family suggests you remember Freddie with donations to his beloved Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center, 112 Main St. Hopkinton MA 01748 so that others may continue to share in the joy there.

Remembrance & Celebration of Life

All are invited to celebrate and remember Freddie with his family Wednesday May 13TH from 2 to 5 pm at The Westborough Knights of Columbus, 17 Willow St. in Westborough. He will be laid to rest privately with his parents at Pine Grove Cemetery in North Grafton. Arrangements are in the care of The Roney Funeral Home in North Grafton.
