Obituary
Died 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1993, at her son's residence in Baton Rouge. She was 84, a native of Plaquemine and longtime resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home chapel, noon to 2:20 p.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 2:30 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. John Carville. Interment in Prairieville Community Cemetery, Prairieville. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Edna Mae and Larry Laughrey, Florissant, Colo.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Judge Carl A. Guidry and Barbara Louque Guidry and Lee P. and Tickie Hendry Guidry, all of Baton Rouge; 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph U. and Effie Babin Barbay; husband, Louis H. Guidry; an infant son, Charles Louis Guidry; a sister, Effie Barbay Calvaruso; and two brothers, Joseph U. Barbay and Charles M. Barbay.Pallbearers will be grandsons, Thomas, Kevin, Gregory, Gerard and David Guidry, and son-in-law, Larry Laughrey. She was a member of St. Thomas More Parish. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge, 8322 One Calais Ave., Suite A, Baton Rouge, 70809, or Missionaries of Charity, 715 East Blvd., Baton Rouge, 70802.
