Bailey Robert Windus, born February 11, 1999 died December 4, 2020
Bailey, our beloved 21-year-old, died in a tragic car accident in South Lake Tahoe. Bailey was born and raised in Sonoma County. His early childhood was spent in Guerneville with his Mom, Dad, and two sisters. He often spoke about this being the happiest time of his life. After losing his mother Susan in 2012 when he was 13, he struggled greatly with a broken heart and the devastation from the loss. In the last three years of his life, Bailey turned his life around. Impressively, he returned to school, graduating high school at the top of his class. He then went on to attend the S.R.J.C. earning a 4.0 GPA, while working to support himself. Bailey was hardworking, persistent, and dedicated. His passion was to become a child psychologist, so that he could help with the healing of other children who suffered from trauma and loss. In order to pay for his education, he worked as a mover in the family business during the day, and he worked numerous night jobs as well. Every free moment, you could see Bailey studying, working towards fulfilling his dream. Bailey was extremely bright, focused, and loving. No matter what obstacles he faced, he was always there as a loving, supportive, encouraging, and compassionate family member and friend. He was nothing short of amazing as a friend, brother, son, grandchild, family member.
Bailey was preceded in death by his mother Susan Teresa Windus. He is survived by his father Jason Windus; stepmothers Rachel Windus and Amanda Franklin; brother Dakota Windus; sisters Rachael Royeton (husband Sean) and Stephanie Cerda (husband Josh); his beloved nephew Kaiden; his loving grandparents Bob and Nona Windus; and numerous family members and loved ones who adored him. Bailey was the light of the family and will be greatly missed.
A candlelight vigil will take place on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020. All family and friends are invited. Please arrive at 3:45pm, with flameless candles only, in masks and practicing social distancing. Alcohol and drug free.

Bailey's Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at 1:00pm.
