Obituary

James P. "Mr. Pat" Brooks, 62, of Eileen Drive, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Patricia M. (Kelly) Brooks for 28 years.

Born in North Kingstown, he was the son of the late James J. and Catherine (Baker) Brooks.

He was a US Navy Veteran serving on the USS Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam Conflict.

Mr. Pat was a supervisor for MHRH for many years before retiring.

He was an avid New England Sports fan.

Besides his wife, he leaves five children, George Orme, Michael Brooks, Kelly-Ann Calderon, James "J.J." Brooks and Katie Brooks; an uncle, James F. Baker; a sister, Judith Pare; and four grandchildren.

His Funeral will be held Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 8:45am from the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. Burial with Military Honors will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association will be appreciated.
