Judith Brooks Par

WICKFORD - Judith Brooks Par of Brooklyn Heights, New York and Wickford, Rhode Island, 78, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Armand (Jay) Par for over 52 years.

Judy was born on October 12, 1946 and raised in Wickford where she attended grade school, North Kingstown High School and, later, the University of Rhode Island. She was the daughter of James Johnson Brooks and Catherine Baker Brooks and the sister of Patrick Brooks, all of whom predeceased her.

Judy was, for over 50 years, the adored swimming teacher of generations of children in Brooklyn, New York. She was also an active and successful real estate broker with the New York firm of Douglas Elliman. She volunteered countless hours of her time with the Brooklyn Womens Exchange and was a Past President of that institution.

Judy was a stylish dresser, an amazing cook, an avid reader, an intrepid traveler and a lover of beaches. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and loved by everyone who knew her. She and her husband spent many happy hours at the beach in Bonnet Shores and Turks and Caicos.

Judy is survived by her husband, Jay, her three daughters, Danielle Par, Nicole Par Ein, and Cassandra Par Spiss and her six grandchildren (who knew her as Gram), Hudson, Annabel, Winston, Madison, Brooks and Josephine. She will be painfully missed.
