Beauchemin ancestral home

The home was originally built in the late 1600s in Varennes. It was in the Beauchemin family for over 300 years but then there was a family fight about it and it was left empty for a few years. Someone bought it at the end of the the last century and restored it lovingly. Modernized the inside but kept the outside as original as they could. In my book, it was the house where Marie and Nicolas went to live with their son Paul. On 22 April 1695 Nicolas and Marie renounced all ownership on all their possessions and gave it all to Paul, born in 1662, with the approval of all the other children and went to live with him. Paul was married the first time to Louise Bissonnette on January 8, 1691 and they had 5 children. His second marriage was to Marguerite Gamelin.
