"Claire Rivet of Pigiguit age 42, wife of Bonaventure Forest, age 44, reached Louisiana in July 1767 with the second contingent of Acadians from Maryland. With them were four daughters, ages 18 to 12. They settled with the rest of the 1767 arrivals at St.-Gabriel d'Iberville south of Baton Rouge. Claire remarried to Abraham dit Petit Abram, son of fellow Acadian Abraham Landry and widower of Élisabeth LeBlanc and Marguerite Flan, probably at nearby Ascension in the 1770s. Claire died at Ascension in March 1780 the priest who recorded her burial said that she was 62 years old when she died, but she was closer to 57. "

"born c1723, Ste.-Famille, Pigiguit daughter of Étienne RIVET & Anne LEPRINCE sister of Étienne married, age 18, (1)Bonaventure FORET, son of Pierre FORET & Madeleine BABIN of Pigiguit, brother of her brother Étienne's wife Claire, c1745, Pigiguit exiled to MD 1755, age 32 in report on Acadians at Upper Marlborough, MD, Jul 1763, age 38, called Claire FORAY, with husband, 3 daughters, & orphan Joseph BOUDREAU arrived LA 1767, age 44 in report on Acadians who settled at St.-Gabriel, 1767, called Clara, age 42, with husband, 4 daughters, & Josef PRENS married (2)Abraham LANDRY dit Petit Abram, son of Abraham LANDRY & Marie GUILBEAU, & widower of Élisabeth LEBLANC & Marguerite FLAN, 1770s, probably Ascension in Ascension census, 1777, right [west] bank, called Clair, age 62[sic], with husband, daughter Anne[-Rose] BONNANT [FORET], & stepson Joseph LANDRY dit Dios died [buried] Ascension, 22 Mar 1780, age 62[sic]"

"Three Forest families reached Louisiana from Maryland in July 1767. They had hoped to settle at Cabanocé with their wayward kin, but the Spanish authorities, now in firm control of the colony, insisted that they settle in a new Acadian community, St.-Gabriel d'Iberville, upriver from Cabanocé. St.-Gabriel had easy communication with Cabanocé by water, so the new arrivals agreed to go there:

Bonaventure Forest of Pigiguit, age 44, came with wife Claire Rivet, age 42, and four daughters--Marguerite, age 18, Marie, age 15, Marie-Madeleine, age 13, and Anne-Rose or Anne-Sophie, age 12. Bonaventure and Claire had no more children in Louisiana. Three of their daughters married into the Dugas, Hébert, Landry, and Plide families and remained on the river. Marie may not have married and may have died at St.-Gabriel in May 1780, in her late 20s."
