'At Preston library today, I found a file prepared by the town historian, used to write a book on Preston history. Some notes: Richard is said to have died in 1695. His widow, Grace, married Benjamin Spalding of Plainfield. Obed bought the rights of his sisters after Richard died. The release from Obed's sisters was dated 1716 [I think it means the records are located in Norwich, I will have to check] and included: Joseph Benjamin and his wife Elizabeth, John Carter and his wife Mary, Samuel Lenard and his wife Lydia, John Andrews and his wife Sarah and John Cook.
