Rita M. Gaudio Diglio, 84, of Potter Road, North Haven, died Aug. 23, 2010, at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of the late Dominick 'Mickey the Gee' Diglio.
Born in New Haven, July 31, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Elsie Marcello Gaudio. Rita was an avid bowler for many different local bowling leagues; she was an excellent cook and a devoted mother and nonnie.
She is survived by a daughter, Denise B. Wenzel, of North Haven, and Sabatino 'Sam' (Carla) Diglio, of East Haven; grandchildren, Dominick 'Mickey' (Louise) Diglio, Joseph W. (Deb) Wenzel, Edward P. (Kara Keating) Wenzel and Christina Diglio; great-grandchildren, Bryanna, Fallon, Dominick, Eddy, Samatha and Joey; a brother, Salvatore (Carmel) Gaudio, of East Haven. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph 'Doe Doe' Gaudio.
